Friends Day 07

Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral created an amazing event that was held at Centennial Park. There was a concert, food, family & FRIENDS. I was hired to create this invitation, a t-shirt to commemorate the day as well as a life size cutout of the silhouette characters from the invitation to be used for photo ops at the event.

I was given a blank slate and free reign to create and brand this event. The church’s staff as well as the congregation were very pleased with the work created for this event.

The final invitation ended up being an 8.5″/11″ sheet scored twice with one section being a tear away for information purposes. An example of the t-shirt design, with the Friends Day branding on it, can also be found on one of the folds as well.

SmartHomes

An amazing company whose single mission is to make living, simple and easy.

Home automation is nothing to shrug your shoulders at in our hectic lives. The ability to add to our security, controlling everything from TV’s to lights, to alarm systems, to surveillance cameras and almost anything you could imagine in your home is a luxury that we can all afford.

I was hired by smart homes to assist in building their brand.Their main objective was to sell their product to builders in the Atlanta area.

I created the identity, a business card layout and a brochure used to promote and sell their product to businesses, primarily builders.

Everything Admin. Solutions

What do you do when someone does everything, or more importantly when they NEED everything done? You build a business that caters to those who have ideas, but lack organization, you become the admin. assistant to anyone who cant find one. That is exactly what this client did. A pretty good idea if you ask me!

I was asked to create both a branding solution, and business card for this client.

The branding was simple, i assembled an image that i believed spoke to the heart of my clients desire, to provide a service for those who believe “EVERYTHING” is a priority. The business card was to be the main vehicle for promoting the brand and their business.

The robot was an instant hint as the branding agent for this company. He could be used on almost any of their future collateral.

Create an identity, branding pieces, showroom pieces, collateral for a brand new makeup line? Sounds easy right?

LAMIK

Create an identity, branding pieces, showroom pieces, collateral for a brand new makeup line? Sounds easy right?

Well it might not have been easy but it was fun! A first, for me as I spent lots of time at makeup counters in several malls, gaining an understanding of just why and how things are done in a world, i clearly had no previous knowledge of.

Ultimately LookLamik was created as a tagline, and from their I created the identity, and these business cards. The thought behind the card was for it to stand out on a counter at the clients boutique as well as any makeup counter in any mall, for the generic cards. The compact was a natural selection as most women, if not all, already have one in their purse or very close to them at the least. The client was thrilled and the business cards were a huge hit with those who received them.

independent home healthcare

“The Power of Caring is the Power of Home Health Care”… Welcome to Independent Home Health Care. An amazing organization in Houston, TX dedicated to the care of seniors and loved ones whose health needs require around the clock care.

I was hired to build the brand from the ground up. They have been in business for over 20 years and a new look and feel, they felt, was needed to begin a new chapter in their story. Starting with the identity and moving into the collateral I’ve created an image that helps them stand out from the rest.

The employee handbook was next. Currently I am working on a website to continue the branding started along with road signs and door hangers to help promote the company.

Food4Life

A good friend of mine, who is an amazing cook reached out and asked for my help in creating both an identity and business card for a new thing he was creating. He had been pondering the idea of opening his own establishment when an opportunity opened up to cater an event. He did not want to do the event without having something to leave for people to be able to remember him by.

I came in and immediately begin to workout something that would stand apart from most other caterers and something that represented him and the food he wants to specialize in.

The result, a simple mark that plays on placement of the initials of his company. Placement was to symbolize the of how clean and simple fine cuisine is platted and made to look as beautiful as it is to taste good.

Overall the client was excited about both the identity and business card created!

Tilt Coffeeshop

Coffee and an atmosphere that is part coffee house part lounge and your office away from your office. A space that boast an incredible art collection of local artist, amazing music, baristas from the community and an owner with success running through his veins. Tilt was born and I was asked to give Tilt an image, an identity, I jumped all over this challenge!

I set out to create a brand, an identity, that was multipurpose, that was unique and that spoke of the vision for the coffee shop that was shared with me. I knew the identity would be placed on everything from stickers, to t-shirts, to hats and anything else that could be printed on.

The coffee cups lend the perfect image to the notion of “tilting everything in your favor”, the tagline for Tilt. The incomplete lines and unfinished feeling of the cups perfectly depict both the building and decor of Tilt. A simple, clean font was chosen for its ability to be used in multiple applications.

I was also tasked to create the website, several fliers and a couple of business cards for Tilt as well.

Overall, this was an exciting project and all pieces designed by playground have gotten amazing reviews!

Switchgear

Fun. Different. Reversible. Bold Patterns. Bold Solids.

Just a few words used to describe the clothing line that is other wise known as Switchgear. An ingenious idea that deserved an identity that not only spoke of its value in the kid’s clothing industry but also needed to be able to stand out and stand apart in a crowded marketplace.

Shoebox4haiti.com

A tragic event, a need unfilled, a quick response… That is how this site was born and why this site was created. Nothing more or less.

After the horrific earthquakes rocked the nation that is Haiti, an immediate desire to help, to lend a hand was felt around the world. Shoebox4haiti was created to quickly fill the essential needs of those left homeless, those injured and those left with nothing.

Through such a simple effort, tons of boxes and supplies were delivered to Haiti.
